Peachtree Plumbing Employee Orientation
A new employee onboarding guide designed to help residential plumbing employees understand company culture, workplace expectations, customer service standards, safety procedures, and employee resources.
Overview
This project is a structured onboarding experience for new Peachtree Plumbing employees. The guide introduces learners to the company, explains workplace expectations, provides customer service and safety training, and includes knowledge checks and reflection activities.
The Challenge
New employees need clear, consistent onboarding that prepares them to represent the company professionally. The training needed to communicate expectations without overwhelming learners, while still keeping the experience visually engaging and easy to follow.
Learning Goals
- Learn about the company and team.
- Review key company policies and procedures.
- Identify workplace expectations.
- Explore employee benefits and resources.
- Prepare for next steps after orientation.
Design Approach
I organized the content into manageable sections and used consistent branding, visual hierarchy, icons, and white space to make the training feel professional and approachable. Knowledge checks and reflection prompts were included to help learners actively process the information.
Reflection
This project helped me practice designing a complete onboarding experience from start to finish. I strengthened my skills in instructional organization, visual design, assessment creation, and multimedia learning. In a future version, I would add more scenario-based interactions and build it as a fully clickable eLearning module.
